The defendants are Bashir Ahmad Jothar of Hill Park, Pahalgam, and Parvaiz Ahmad Jothar of Batkote, Pahalgam.
NIA obtains the LeT attackers’ identities :
The three armed terrorists who carried out the attack were identified by the apprehended individuals, who also verified that they were Pakistani nationals connected to the banned terrorist organization Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), according to NIA.
According to NIA findings, Parvaiz and Bashir had intentionally harbored the three armed terrorists at a seasonal dhok (hut) in Hill Park prior to the attack. It was one of the most horrific terrorist assaults ever, according to a statement from the NIA, because the two individuals had given the terrorists food, accommodation, and logistical support. The terrorists then slaughtered the visitors on the fateful afternoon based on their religious identity.
The two have been arrested by NIA under Section 19 of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, 1967, and the agency is currently looking into the case that was filed following the devastating attack on April 22, 2025. The case is still being investigated further.
