Pulwama Attack Triggers Nationwide Fury as Pakistan’s Ceasefire Violations Revealed
The Pulwama terror attack has sparked national outrage, with growing calls for a firm response against Pakistan. Exclusive data accessed by India TV reveals the scale of Pakistan’s ceasefire violations and terror involvement. While ceasefire breaches had declined in recent years, reports show Pakistan has resumed sporadic violations. In 2019, there were 3,233 ceasefire violations, rising to 4,645 in 2020. The number dropped sharply to 595 in 2021, then to just one in 2022. Two violations were recorded in both 2023 and 2024, but 2025 has already seen 14 breaches.
Terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir: Year-Wise Infiltration and Killings Along the LoC
The Indian Army, along with the J&K Police and CRPF, continues counterterrorism operations across the LoC, infiltration routes, and populated areas where terrorists meet overground workers. Terror Attacks and Security Challenges in Jammu & Kashmir: Year-Wise Overview
Indian Army data shows a steady decline in terror attacks in Kashmir—from 173 in 2019 to 142 in 2020, 131 in 2021, and 110 in 2022. A sharp drop to 25 incidents occurred in 2023, largely due to developmental efforts, with a slight rise to 27 in 2024. Interior regions of South, North, and Central Kashmir remain challenging due to strong overground worker networks. In terms of terrorist neutralizations, 151 were killed in 2019, peaking at 207 in 2020. The numbers remained high through 2023 but fell to 48 in 2024 and six so far in 2025. While local recruitment has dropped, concerns persist over 25 missing girls and a growing drug crisis in the valley.
