On January 20th, LIC reported that 4,52,839 of its agents nationwide successfully issued an impressive 5,88,107 life insurance policies.
The Guinness World Record for the most life insurance contracts sold in a 24-hour period was announced by the Life Insurance Corporation of India on Saturday.
According to LIC’s statement, this historic accomplishment, which has been confirmed by Guinness World Records, acknowledges the exceptional performance of the company’s committed agency network on January 20, 2025.
An incredible 5,88,107 life insurance contracts were successfully finalized and issued by 4,52,839 LIC agents nationwide on January 20, the company reported.
According to the report, this enormous endeavor set a new worldwide standard for agent productivity in the life insurance sector in less than a day.

Siddhartha Mohanty, MD and CEO of LIC, had called for all agents to finish at least one policy on ‘Mad Million Day’ on January 20, 2025, and this record effort was the result of his initiative.
Speaking at the event, Mohanty expressed gratitude to all of the clients, representatives, and staff for helping to make “Mad Million Day” a historic occasion.
