In a series of Notices to Airmen (NOTAMs), the Airports Authority of India (AAI) and pertinent aviation authorities have announced that, for operational reasons, 32 airports in northern and western India will be temporarily closed to all civil flight operations from May 9 to May 14, 2025 (or 0529 IST on May 15th, 2025). - Kullu Manali (Bhuntar)
- Leh
- Ludhiana
- Mundra
- Naliya
- Pathankot
- Patiala
- Porbandar
- Rajkot (Hirasar)
- Sarsawa
- Shimla
- Srinagar
- Thoise
- Uttarlai
During this time, all civil flight operations at these airports will be halted. For operational considerations, the Airports Authority of India (AAI) has additionally prolonged the temporary closure of 25 Air Traffic Service (ATS) route segments located in the Flight Information Regions (FIRs) of Delhi and Mumbai. The 25 route segments from ground level to limitless height will not be accessible until 2359 UTC on May 14, 2025 (or 0529 IST on May 15, 2025), in accordance with NOTAM G0555/25 (which replaces G0525/25). In accordance with existing air traffic advisories, airlines and aircraft operators have been encouraged to arrange alternative routes. To maintain safety and minimize inconvenience, the temporary shutdown is being managed in collaboration with the appropriate ATC units.
