Tirupati: The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) Trust Board has authorized the installation of anti-drone technology surrounding the Tirumala temple, marking a major move to improve security at one of India’s holiest pilgrimage destinations. The purpose of this action is to protect the safety of the thousands of pilgrims that visit the shrine and to stop unauthorized aerial observation.
At the TTD Trust Board meeting on Tuesday at Annamaiah Bhavan, the decision was made to introduce anti-drone equipment. After the meeting, TTD Executive Officer Shyamala Rao made the important choices public.

TTD had made the decision not to distribute land next to the holy seven hills. According to the temple officials, in order to maintain the sanctity of this internationally recognized spiritual site, the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) previously agreed not to provide private individuals land next to the holy seven hills. The release stated that the TTD Board had previously decided to swap 24.68 acres of Andhra Pradesh Tourism Authority (APTA)-owned land in Survey No. 604 of Peruru village, Tirupati Rural Mandal, for an equivalent TTD-owned parcel of land in Survey No. 588-A of Tirupati Urban.
Additionally, according to the announcement, the TTD Board authorized the trade of 10.32 acres in Survey No. 588-A of Tirupati Urban, which is owned by TTD, for an additional 10.32 acres in Survey No. 604 of Tirupati Rural, which is currently owned by APTA. The Board had asked the state government to speed up this process of exchange.
